140,000 Collin County residents are food insecure
Nearly 9,000 McKinney kids will go to bed hungry tonight
45% of food stamp recipients are children
Here is how you can help and have a fun-filled family evening at the same time.
This unique annual event begins with a showcase of over 1,000 one-of-a-kind bowls handcrafted by professional and student artists. For the $25 price of admission, guests come to share a sampling of gourmet soups, breads, and sweets that have been lovingly prepared by chefs from local restaurants. Included in the price of admission, guests take home one of these empty handcrafted bowls as a reminder of all the empty bowls due to hunger in the local community.
Proceeds of the event go to Community Lifeline Center to help stock their Lifeline Market.
Your bowls make our event a reality!
We ask you to join this significant effort to fight hunger in our community!
Last year, we raised over $82,000 for families in crisis and provided more than 80% of the funds spent on food at McKinney's Community Lifeline Center.
