Medium for your bowl:
Cone 6 Ceramics
What was your process when you created this bowl:
This bowl was thrown on the wheel using a mid-range clay body dug from Minnesota. It then went through a drying process in which it became a slightly firmer consistency known as "leather hard." From there, the piece was trimmed, a process in which I'm able to refine the shape. Next it was dried, fired, then prepped for glaze. To achieve the finish on the piece, a multitude of glazes were combined and the piece was fired to Cone 6 with a slow cool.
What inspired you to donate your bowl to Empty Bowls McKinney?
I have been donating to Empty Bowls since 2012, and enjoy doing it as a form of community outreach.
I named my business, "All Fired Up" when I first started it at the age of 14.
